Outline of a generally covariant quantum field theory and a quantum theory of gravity
Open accessAbstract
We study a tentative generally covariant quantum field theory, denoted the T theory, as a tool to investigate the consistency of quantum general relativity. The theory describes the gravitational field and a minimally coupled scalar field; it is based on the loop representation, and on a certain number of quantization choices. Four-dimensional diffeomorphism-invariant quantum transition probabilities can be computed from the theory. We discuss the choices on which the T theory relies, and the possibilities of modifying them.

If the gauge N(x)=1, N^a(x)=A^i_0(x)=0 is fixed, the hamiltonian density (58) coincides with the hamiltonian constraint H(x).
“If we can fix the gauge N ( x ) = 1, N a ( x ) = A i 0 ( x ) = 0, ˙ A = { A, H} , the hamiltonian density (58) coincides with the hamiltonian constraint H ( x ) [12].”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
