Power Transmission Line Inspection Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle - A Review
Abstract
In recent years unmanned aerial vehicles are used in various inspection applications like construction operations, turbine, sewage water treatment, wind mill, power lines etc. In this study the need of UAVs in power transmission line is taken into account because even now in many countries manual labour is used for the inspection. Also the power lines need a regular maintenance in order to transmit required power supply. The aim of this work is to present a review on various artificial techniques that are used to collect the various data from the power transmission lines. Further the basic needs of hardware requirements for the UAV design are discussed in detail. Based on the study, the challenges and need of UAV are summarized in the concluding remarks.

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
