The Role of AR and VR Technologies in Education Developments: Opportunities and Challenges
Abstract
Technology has been growing fast and noticeably influencing different aspects of life such as education. Studies have revealed that (AR) and virtual reality (VR) have strong potentials for helping students to improve their skills and knowledge. In fact, bridging AR/VR and education can bring teaching and learning experiences in an attractive and effective way.In this review paper, we initially present an introduction to and a definition of AR/VR. We then briefly study ongoing research and latest products in AR/VR, that have pedagogical values and potentials to improve educational systems. We then highlight the capabilities and limitations of AR/VR to identify what AR/VR can provide for learners and teachers.

Visual and spatial reasoning can help students understand a complex mathematical concept by allowing them to visualize and manipulate a 3D model in a virtual environment and experience abstract concepts more concretely.
“This visual and spatial reasoning can help students understand a complex mathematical concept by allowing them to visualize and manipulate a 3D model in a virtual environment and “experience abstract concepts more concretely” (Ardiny & Khanmirza, 2018, p. 485).”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
