Accuracy of the point-of-care glucose meter for use in calves
Open accessAbstract
=0.96, P<0.0001) were well correlated with those by the hexokinase method, which is the gold standard. Although the accuracy of i-STAT 1 was equivalent to that of the hexokinase method, there was an autocorrelation in the residuals between the results from the Precision Xceed and the hexokinase method. Thus, the i-STAT 1 can be used to measure the blood glucose concentration in cattle.

Blood glucose and BHB concentrations were determined using a hand-held meter and test strips.
“In addition, whole blood was immediately analyzed using a hand-held meter (Freestyle Optium Neo H, Abbott Diabetes Care Inc., Alameda, CA) and test strips to determine the blood glucose (Nishi et al., 2019; Karapinar et al., 2020) and BHB concentrations (Suarez-Mena et al., 2017).”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
