Optical realization of coherent vibrational dynamics in molecules

Abstract

Optical analogs of coherent vibrational phenomena in molecules, such as light-induced molecular stabilization and wave packet dynamics at a potential crossing, are proposed for light beams in coupled slab waveguides.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • Zitterbewegung refers to the trembling motion of a freely moving relativistic quantum particle that arises from interference between the positive and negative energy states of the spinor wavefunction.

“Zitterbewegung (ZB) refers to the trembling motion of a freely moving relativistic quantum particle that arises from the interference between the positive (electron) and negative (positron) energy states of the spinor wavefunction [25,47].”

From Classical simulation of relativistic quantum mechanics in periodic optical structures (2011) · cites this paper as [46]

The paper’s discussion of optical analogues concerns molecular vibrational wave packets and crossings between potential surfaces (section labeled “Stefano Longhi”; page not provided). Searches for Zitterbewegung and for Dirac particles, electron–positron states, and their interference found no passage addressing the cited definition. (LLM, conf=0.76)

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
