Formulation And Evaluation Of Anti Aging Cream Containing Banana Peel Extract And Pumpkin Seed Oil
Open accessAbstract
The present study aimed to develop and evaluate an anti-aging cream formulation using banana peel extract and pumpkin seed oil. The cream was prepared using a combination of banana peel extract, pumpkin seed oil, and excipients. Physicochemical parameters, antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory activity, and were evaluated. The results showed that the formulated cream exhibited good physicochemical properties, high antioxidant activity (23.88% inhibition of DPPH radicals). Stability studies indicated no significant changes in the cream's properties over3 months. The combination of banana peel extract and pumpkin seed oil in the cream formulation showed enhanced anti-aging effects, making it a potential natural and effective solution for anti-aging skin care. However, in the present work herbal formulations reported to have more significant advantages over synthetic formulations. Hence, we conclude that the topical cream for anti-aging is effective, safe and ease of manufacturing and in the economic point of view they are cheap when compared to synthetic creams. Further clinical trials are recommended to confirm its efficacy and safety in humans.

Mixed creams including banana peel extract and pumpkin seed oil exhibited antioxidant potential and acceptable physical characteristics, suggesting feasibility as a natural cosmetic ingredient.
“Another investigation showed that mixed creams including banana peels' extract and pumpkin seed oil exhibited antioxidant potential and acceptable physical characteristics, suggesting its feasibility as a natural cosmetic ingredient [10].”
From Formulation development, physical stability, and preliminary safety screening of cosmetic emulsions containing banana peel extract (2026) · cites this paper as [10]
The title (p. 994) identifies this as a study of a cream containing banana peel extract and pumpkin seed oil, and the Introduction describes the plan to develop it. The retrieved passages do not report antioxidant results or acceptable physical characteristics for the mixed cream; the Physical Evaluation passage concerns pumpkin seed oil alone. Thus the claimed findings and feasibility inference are not supported by the available passages. (LLM, conf=0.75)

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
