Molson Lake terrane consists principally of 1650 Ma granitoid gneisses, part of the Paleoproterozoic Trans-Labrador batholith, cut by dykes of the Mesoproterozoic Shabogamo gabbro.
“This terrane consists principally of 1650 Ma granitoid gneisses, part of the Paleoproterozoic Trans-Labrador batholith (Connelly and Heaman 1993; Connelly et al. 1995), cut by dykes of the Mesoproterozoic Shabogamo gabbro.”

The age of HP metamorphism in Molson Lake terrane is not well constrained; two U/Pb (zircon) lower intercept ages of 1001 ± 10 Ma obtained on Shabogamo gabbro and Labradorian granite from the interior of the terrane are inferred to be minimum ages.

Paleo- and Mesoproterozoic units in Gagnon terrane display evidence for a single metamorphism dated at about 1000 Ma (Rigolet orogeny).
“Paleo- and Mesoproterozoic units in Gagnon terrane display evidence for a single metamorphism that has been dated at about 1000 Ma (Connelly and Heaman 1993; Connelly et al. 1995; Schwarz 1998), i.e., Rigolet orogeny.”

Subordinate rock types in Gagnon terrane include deformed and metamorphosed granitoid plutons and the distinctive 1459 ± 22/23 Ma Shabogamo gabbro, which forms sills and dykes in the Paleoproterozoic supracrustal succession.

Lac Joseph terrane comprises a thin sheet of Paleoproterozoic sedimentary and plutonic rocks metamorphosed to upper amphibolite- to granulite-facies migmatitic gneiss during the Labradorian orogeny, with a window near the centre of the terrane through which the underlying HP belt is exposed.

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
