Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • A good correlation of three kinetic models (pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intra-particle diffusion) for the adsorption of heavy metals like Cr(VI) as well as a mixed solution of Pb, Cu, Cd, Cr(III) and Zn is reported.

“Furthermore, a good correlation of three kinetic models (pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intra-particle diffusion) for the adsorption of heavy metals like Cr (VI) (Asgari et al., 2013;Sparks, 2003) as well as a mixed solution of Pb, Cu, Cd, Cr(III) and Zn are reported (Nguyen et al., 2015).”

Section 2.3 identifies Cr(NO3)3 as the chromium source, and Section 3.2.2 reports satisfactory pseudo-first- and pseudo-second-order fits for mixed-metal adsorption. But Section 3.2.2 says the intra-particle diffusion plot was not linear throughout and did not pass through the origin, so the paper does not report a good overall fit for all three models. The sentence cites other works, not Nguyen et al., for Cr(VI). (LLM, conf=0.87)

  • After the second regeneration cycle, a considerable decrease in desorption percentage was observed, possibly due to damage of the ICZ structure by contact with an acidic medium.

“After the second regeneration cycle, they observed a considerable decrease in the desorption percentage because of the possible damage of the ICZ structure by contact with an acidic medium (Nguyen et al., 2015).”

From Adsorption of heavy metals on natural zeolites: A review (2023) · cites this paper as Nguyen et al., 2015

Section 3.3.2 reports lower ICZ desorption ranges in the second cycle (49–85%) than in the first (64–93%). It attributes acid-related dissolution of iron coatings to a decline in adsorption capacity, however, not to the decrease in desorption percentage claimed here. Page numbers are unavailable in our copy. (LLM, conf=0.85)

  • ICZ was regenerated using 0.1 M HCl, and two cycles of regeneration were successfully achieved.

“The ICZ was regenerated using 0.1 M HCl, and two cycles of regeneration were successfully achieved.”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
