Viscosity and density of 1-Alkyl-3-methylimidazolium ionic liquids
Abstract
We report here the viscosity and density of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium salts of [BF 4 ] -, [PF 6 ] -, CL -, [CF 3 SO 3 ] - and NO 3 ] - .Viscosity decreases as a function of temperature and increases with increasing alkyl chain length, while density decreases with increasing temperature and longer alkyl chain. The viscosity data were fitted to the VFT equation. The ionic liquids were found to exhibit Newtonian behavior when isotropic, whereas they act as non-Newtonian shear-thinning materials at the liquid-crystalline mesophase temperatures.

Ionic liquids can be customized with pre-selected characteristics such as high thermal stability, moisture stability, and ion selectivity by careful selection of the cation and anion.
“Perhaps the most attractive feature of ILs for ED Li recovery is that they can be customized with pre-selected characteristics such as high thermal stability, moisture stability, and ion selectivity, by careful selection of the cation and anion (Seddon et al., 2000; Seddon et al., 2002; Deetlefs et al., 2006; Zavahir et al., 2021).”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
