Synthesis Strategies for Preparing Useful Small Pore Zeolites and Zeotypes for Gas Separations and Catalysis

Abstract

In the last years, the preparation of small pore zeolites, especially those presenting large cavities in their structure, have received much attention because they have shown excellent application in catalysis (such as methanol-to-olefins or selective catalytic reduction of NOx) and gas separations. In the present review, we will focus on the diverse synthetic routes followed to direct the crystallization of small pore zeolites and, on the other hand, the most outstanding applications of those small pore microporous materials.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • Reducing the amount of OSDA needed for zeolite synthesis would lower the environmental impact and cost of zeolite production, easing scale-up requirements.

“By doing so, the environmental impact of zeolite production as well as its cost would be lower, thus easing the requirements for scale-up.48,103”
  • New zeolites can be obtained by topotactic transformation in which labile atoms are removed by mild secondary treatments followed by condensation or pillarization of remaining zeolitic layers, providing new fully ordered microporous materials.

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
