The Absolute Configuration at C24 of the Ecdysteroids Dacrysterone, Pterosterone and Ponasterone C
Abstract
The shielding values in 13C N.M.R. spectra of the ecdysteroids dacrysterone, pterosterone, and ponasterone C have been assigned, together with those for the 20,22- and 22,24-benzylidene acetal derivatives of the latter. From the N.M.R. data the C24 configuration of dacrysterone is assigned as 24R, while the 24s configuration is assigned to pterosterone and ponasterone C.

Two early reports also identified close analogues: ponasterone A, ponasterone B, ponasterone C and inokosterone.
“two reports also identified close analogues-ponasterone A (25-deoxy-20-hydroxyecdysone; ponA), which is amongst the most biologically active ecdysteroids in arthropod systems, ponasterone B (2,3-di-epi-ponA), ponasterone C (5β,24S-dihydroxyponA) [18,25,26] and inokosterone [19].”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
