Abstract

The requirement for and use of fossil fuels has risen accordingly because of increasing human activity in the industry and daily transport, leading to serious environmental problems resulting from a sustainable and renewable source of energy needed to preserve mother nature. In recent decades, research on biofuel or fuel obtained from biomass and living materials increased exponentially because that can be harvested multiple times. This chapter discusses biofuel generations with conventional and advanced production technologies in recent years. Production and usage of biofuels reduce dependency on fossil fuels. A review of the literature revealed that energy crops and microalgae might provide the most efficient and appealing biofuels. Recent advances in genetic engineering for biofuels provide more economic potential. However, biofuels in large quantities are still a challenging task for researchers. Also, biofuel technology is too expensive for many countries; hence more research is needed for the low-cost production of biofuels.

This paper’s full text isn’t openly available, so its claims and self-check weren’t run. The registry and citation checks still apply.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • Advancements in supercritical fluid conversion include process optimization, catalyst development, and integration with other conversion methods.

“Advancements in supercritical fluid conversion include process optimization, catalyst development, and integration with other conversion methods [8, 117].”
  • Biofuels are derived from a variety of renewable sources, not limited to biomass alone, and encompass a broader range of feedstocks and production methods.

“Biofuels are derived from a variety of renewable sources, not limited to biomass alone. While many biofuels are indeed produced from plant-based biomass, which absorbs atmospheric CO2 during growth, the category of biofuels encompasses a broader range of feedstocks and production methods.”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
