Ahmadi Redevelopment Projects: Power Generating Pavements
Open accessAbstract
The ever-increasing energy demands of today's rapidly emerging world economies, has placed energy use and conservation at the heart of the world sustainability challenge.Consequently, a lot of focus and research is aimed at the implementation of the various sustainable strategies and models, to address the global sustainability challenges in energy use and its conservation. This paper presents an overview of an approach considered to meet this global sustainability challenge by Ahmadi Sports Ground, which is considered as one of the masterpieces of Ahmadi Township, developed by the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).The paper introduces the specific application of using energy generating tiles through energy harvesters in the Ahmadi Sports Ground. For a good comprehension, the paper takes the elementary materials scientific development from their history and mentions the actual acknowledgement and energy generation mechanism of those materials throughout concurrent researches.

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?
The tiles employed at jogging pathways and game fields of the Ahmadi township sports ground yielded a weekly energy output of 189 kWh and 20.9 kWh, respectively, with a total weekly energy generation of 209.9 kWh.
“The tiles were employed at jogging pathways and the game fields, which yielded a weekly energy output of 189 kWh and 20.9 kWh, respectively, with a total weekly energy generation of 209.9 kWh.”
From A review of piezoelectric energy harvesting tiles: Available designs and future perspective (2022) · cites this paper as [102]
The Results section lists exactly 189 kWh per week for sports-ground walkways, 20.9 kWh for fields, and 209.9 kWh total. However, the walkway and game-field calculations are based on predicted foot traffic and footsteps; the citing sentence’s “yielded” presents those estimates as measured output. (LLM, conf=0.88)

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
