3D Co-culture System of Tumor-Associated Macrophages and Ovarian Cancer Cells
Open accessAbstract
mice were mixed with ID8 cells (TAM:ID8 at a ratio of 1:10) in medium containing 2% Matrigel and seeded onto the 24-well plate precoated with Matrigel. As transcoelomic metastasis is also associated with many other cancers such as pancreatic and colon cancers, TAM-mediated spheroid formation assay would provide a useful approach to define the molecular mechanism and therapeutic targets for ovarian cancer and other transcoelomic metastasis cancers.

Co-cultures of ovarian cancer cells and macrophages have identified positive feedback loops that drive stemness, chemoresistance and spheroid formation in cancer cells and M2 polarization of macrophages.
“Co-cultures of ovarian cancer cells and macrophages have identified positive feedback loops that drive stemness, chemoresistance and spheroid formation in cancer cells and M2 polarization of macrophages (Long et al., 2018; Ning et al., 2018; Raghavan et al., 2019).”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
