PESQUISA DE COLIFORMES TOTAIS EM ALIMENTOS COMERCIALIZADOS NO MUNICÍPIO DE JI-PARANÁ, RONDÔNIA
Open accessAbstract

The high number of total coliforms indicates deficient hygienic-sanitary practices at the place of sale, machinery/utensils, and non-adoption of good practices by the handler.
“the low microbiological quality of the analyzed samples presented by the high number of total coliforms indicate deficient hygienic-sanitary practices at the place of sale, of the machinery and utensils used for the commercialization, opening and manipulation of the coconut, as well as the non-adoption of the good practices by the handler for handling the product”
From Microbiological analysis of coconut water (Cocos nucifera L.) sold by street vendors in Sobral/CE, Brazil (2024) · cites this paper as Valiatti et al., 2017
The Discussion (page unavailable in our copy) says total coliforms indicate hygienic-sanitary conditions and links contamination in ground beef to possible hygiene failures at the processing site or among handlers. It also identifies inadequate cleaning of equipment and utensils as a possible factor in contaminated raw milk. The paper studies beef, milk, and cheese—not coconut—and does not establish that poor practices at a coconut point of sale or non-adoption of good practices by its handler caused the citing paper’s results. About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
