Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • This presents an example of a 'filling enforced semimetal' where the zone boundary degeneracy requires that electron count for a filled band actually results in a gapless state where the conduction and valence bands contact each other.

“This presents an example of a 'filling enforced semimetal' (Parameswaran, 2015; Parameswaran et al. , 2013; Watanabe et al. , 2015) where the zone boundary degeneracy requires that electron count for a filled band actually results in a gapless state where the conduction and valence bands contact each other.”

From Weyl and Dirac semimetals in three-dimensional solids (2018) · cites this paper as Parameswaran et al., 2013

The Band Theory discussion (p. 2) says that non-symmorphic symmetry prevents fewer than S bands from separating and gives an hcp example with enforced band contacts. Figure 2’s caption (p. 4) says those contacts require a minimum filling of S = 2 for a band insulator. Our copy does not specify that the contacts occur at the zone boundary, so it does not establish that part of the claim. (LLM, conf=0.83)

  • Screw symmetries lead to double degeneracy for all Bloch states on certain planes in the Brillouin zone.

“It is known that screw symmetries lead to double degeneracy for all Bloch states on certain planes in the Brillouin zone (BZ).36,37”

From Type-II Dirac photons (2017) · cites this paper as [37]

The Band Theory section (p. 2) says nonsymmorphic symmetry prevents certain bands from being separated, and Fig. 2 (p. 4) shows screw-symmetry-enforced contacts between pairs of bands. The copy does not say that every Bloch state is doubly degenerate across particular Brillouin-zone planes; its discussion of invariant planes in the Fourier-Space Approach (p. 7) concerns a many-body degeneracy argument, not that claim. (LLM, conf=0.86)

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
