Intracellular, in vitro somatic membrane potential recordings from whole cell patch clamped rodent hippocampal CA1 neurons
Open accessAbstract
This data set contains the raw data files of current injection sweeps from somatic injections of the experimental cells (mouse and rat under standard “control” in vitro recording conditions) that were used to constrain the model cells of the model CA1 neural network published in: Marianne J. Bezaire, Ivan Raikov, Kelly Burk, Dhrumil Vyas, and Ivan Soltesz. Interneuronal mechanisms of hippocampal theta oscillations in full-scale models of the CA1 circuit. Under Review, 2016. Results from the experiments are described in: Sang-Hun Lee, Ivan Marchionni, Marianne Bezaire, Csaba Varga, Nathan Danielson, Matthew Lovett-Barron, Attila Losonczy, and Ivan Soltesz. Parvalbumin-positive basket cells differentiate among hippocampal pyramidal cells. Neuron, 82(5):1129–1144, 2014. doi: 10.1016/j.neuron.2014.03.034. The electrophysiology and other properties of individual cells and synapses were based on experimental data.
“An important set of constraints was the electrophysiology and other properties of individual cells and synapses (Figure 2; Figure 2—source data 3–27; Tables 3 and 4) that were based on experimental data (Lee et al., 2016; Quattrocolo and Maccaferri, 2016).”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
