Disturbance Observer-based Adaptive Fault-Tolerant Control of an Electro-Hydraulic Actuator with Output Constraint

Du Phan, Van, Ahn, Kyoung Kwan·2022·2022 13th Asian Control Conference (ASCC)

Abstract

In this article, the problem of tracking control for a double rod electro-hydraulic actuator (DEHA) in presence of both lumped disturbances and faults is investigated to satisfy the prescribed performance. A fault-tolerant controller (FTC) is developed consisting of three parts, a nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO), the combination of barrier Lyapunov function and adaptive command filter controller, and fault detection. The proposed FTC can tackle not only internal leakage fault but also matched/mismatched disturbances. Based on the Lyapunov stability analysis, the tracking errors of the proposed control scheme converge to a small neighborhood of zero. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by numerical simulations and comparison with existing works.

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
