Psychometric properties of the Committed Action Questionnaire, the Persian Version
Open accessAbstract
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Committed Action Questionnaire (CAQ-8) in a non-clinical sample. The study evaluated the factor analyses, reliability, and validity of the CAQ-8 in an Iranian sample. Methods: The psychometric properties of the CAQ-8 were investigated in a Persian student (n=180), through convenient sampling for data gathering.Participants filled out a battery of questionnaires, including CAQ-8, medical outcomes study questionnaire 36-item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36), Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ-II), and Depression, Anxiety, And Stress Scale (DASS-21).Confirmatory factor analyses and goodness of fit indexes were used to examine the reliability and validity of the Persian version of the CAQ-8. Results:The Persian version of the CAQ-8 revealed satisfactory levels of internal consistency (α=0.77), and significant association with various indexes of theoretically-related instruments such as DASS-21, SF-36, and AAQ-II.Confirmatory factor analyses demonstrated that the Persian version of the CAQ-8 yielded a 7-item questionnaire by the two-factor model. Conclusion:The Persian version of CAQ appears to be a valid, reliable, and adequate measure for the assessment of the concept of committed action in the Iranian sample.

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
