Abstract

A series of tetrabutylphosphonium ([Bu 4 P] + )-based ionic liquids (ILs) with multiple-site for CO 2 capture and activation in their anions, which could efficiently catalyze the cyclization reaction of propargylic alcohols with CO 2 at ambient conditions, are reported. Especially, the IL, [Bu 4 P] 3 [2,4-OPym-5-Ac], which has three interaction sites for attracting CO 2 together with a p K a1 value of 9.13, exhibited the best performance, affording a series of α-alkylidene cyclic carbonates in moderate to good yields. The mechanism exploration demonstrated that IL served as a bifunctional catalyst with anion simultaneously activating CO 2 via multiple-site cooperative interactions and the C≡C triple bond in propargylic alcohol via inductive effect, thus resulting in the production of α-alkylidene cyclic carbonates.

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
