Polyphosphazene solid electrolytes

Blonsky, Peter M., Shriver, D. F., Austin, Paul, Allcock, H. R.·1984·Journal of the American Chemical Society

Abstract

The phosphazene polymer (NP(OC2H40C2H4OCH3)n, MEEP, was synthesized and amorphous solvent-free salt complexes were performed with LiSo3CF3, NaSO3CF3, Sr(SO3CF3)2, and AgSO3CF3. A material with the composition (LiSO3CF3)0.25. MEEP has a conductivity of .00008 ohm/cm at 30 C, which is much higher than corresponding poly (ethylene oxide) complexes. The phosphazene electrolytes are promising materials for ambient-temperature high energy density batteries.

Claims the paper makes

This paper’s full text isn’t openly available, so its claims and self-check weren’t run. The registry and citation checks still apply.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • Polyphosphazenes with oligo-ethylene oxy side chains have been considered for use in lithium-ion polymer batteries and those with sulfonated aryloxy side groups as membranes for fuel cells.

“Polphosphazenes with oligo-ethylene oxy side chains have also been considered for use in lithium-ion polymer batteries [177 -179] and those with sulfonated aryloxy side groups as membranes for fuel cells [180].”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
