Influence of low temperature conditions on lithium-ion batteries and the application of an insulation material
Open accessAbstract
In the current work, a series of experiments were carried out under low and normal temperature conditions (0 and 20 °C) to research the influence of low temperature on the performance of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).

High initial polarization can be explained by the low temperature of the coin cell, which then increases affected by heating during cycling.
“High initial polarization can be explained by the low temperature of the coin cell, which then increases affected by heating during cycling31.”
From High-performance Na3V2(PO4)3/C cathode for efficient low-temperature lithium-ion batteries (2025) · cites this paper as [31]
In Results and discussion (page unavailable), the paper links low temperature to higher internal resistance and reports an initial rise in voltage difference associated with activation polarization. It does not show that heating during cycling increases polarization; the voltage difference subsequently decreases. The experiments also used cylindrical 18650 batteries, not coin cells (Materials and sample preparation; page unavailable). (LLM, conf=0.85)

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
