A spectroscopic study of Eu3+centres in SrF2using a site-selective excitation technique
Open accessAbstract
Three types of single centres (O h , C 4v , C 3v ) have been identified in SrF 2 :Eu 3+ and energy level schemes have been established for them. The two types of cluster that predominate in CdF 2 :Eu 3+ and CaF 2 :Eu 3+ are not found in SrF 2 :Eu 3+ . Anomalous behaviour of the cubic (O h ) centre common to the other alkaline-earth fluorides is observed, and additional species connected with the C 3v centres appear above 0.1 mol.% dopant concentration.

There is little reason to think that the trigonal centre observed by Jouart et al [31] in the Eu3+:BaF2 system is qualitatively different from the trigonal centre in the Eu3+:SrF2 system whose spectrum was reported in [30].

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
