Abstract

Introduction: To describe a clinical case on cancer patient with ablative tumor surgery, from treatment planning, surgical resection and subsequent implantological rehabilitation. Case Report: A 61-year-old male, diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma in the maxilla, requires the removal of the lesion and corresponding oral rehabilitation. However, two surgeries were necessary to rehabilitate the upper jaw. A custom-made prosthesis was fabricated. It was made from sintered titanium using machined subperiosteal implants with a universal external connection. Finally, a milled cobalt- chrome structure was produced and a feldspar ceramic covering was subsequently applied. Conclusions: Oral rehabilitation, oral cancer, subperiostal implants.

The Case Report describes a customised subperiosteal implant supporting dental restoration in a complex cancer case, and the Discussion reports no operational or prosthetic complications after one year. The paper does not identify IPS Implants® Preprosthetic, describe cranial-base anchorage, or establish that it is unique or distinct from laser-produced implants. About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
