Abstract

Prevalence and Likelihood of Meeting Sleep, Physical Activity, and Screen-Time Guidelines Among US YouthSleep, physical activity, and screen-time behaviors among adolescents are risk factors for physical health (eg, obesity), mental and emotional health, behavioral outcomes (eg, tobacco use), and performance-based outcomes (eg, academic achievement).[1][2][3] Accordingly, it is recommended that children (age 6-12 years) sleep 9 to 12 hours and adolescents (age 14-18 years) sleep 8 to 10 hours a night and that both groups accumulate at least 1 hour of moderate-intensity or vigorous-Table.Prevalence and Adjusted Relative Odds of Meeting Recommendations for Sleep, Screen Time, and Physical Activity Among US Youth per Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey, 2011-2017 Characteristic

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
