Abstract

Objective The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate the internal consistency and construct validity of a Korean version of the Caregiver Quality of Life Index-Cancer (CQOLC-K). Methods The CQOLC-K was administered to 270 caregivers, along with the Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-36 (SF-36) and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Results Internal consistency of the CQOLC-K (0.90) and all inter-scale correlations were significant in the expected direction (p Conclusion These findings support the internal consistency reliability and construct validity of the Korean version of the CQOLC-K. The instrument can be used to measure quality of life in caregivers of cancer patients in clinical and epidemiological research.

This paper’s full text isn’t openly available, so its claims and self-check weren’t run. The registry and citation checks still apply.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • The CQOLC scale has been validated in other countries, including Korea, Turkey, France, Taiwan, and Germany.

“Actualmente, la escala presenta validación en otros países, como Corea (31), Turquía (32), Francia (33), Taiwán (34) y Alemania (35).”
  • Muchos de estos factores evidencian un estado de vulnerabilidad y necesidad de direccionar actividades de cuidado hacia los cuidadores de pacientes con cáncer congruentes con sus características sociodemográficas, especialmente si se considera el impacto familiar, económico y social que puede generar la enfermedad.

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
