Abstract

Using TiO i Pr 4 with a pyrazole ligand for one-pot LA polymerization improved catalytic activity compared with using TiO i Pr 4 only.

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • The high catalytic activity of complex 51 with the intramolecular transesterification was ascribed to the cooperation between two Zr centers.

“The high catalytic activity of complex 51 with the intramolecular transesterification was ascribed to the cooperation between two Zr centers as shown in Fig. 26.”

From Multinuclear metal catalysts in ring-opening polymerization of ε‑caprolactone and lactide: Cooperative and electronic effects between metal centers (2023) · cites this paper as [87]

The Introduction and Results and discussion describe cooperation between two Ti centers in lactide polymerization, not two Zr centers. The Polymerization of LA section mentions transesterification as a possible consequence of prolonged polymerization, not as the explanation for high catalytic activity. (LLM, conf=0.88)

  • The TOF of complex 51 (194 h−1) was 2-fold higher than that of complex 52 (90 h−1).

    “The TOF of complex 51 (194 h À1 ) was 2-fold higher than that of complex 52 (90 h À1 ).”

From Multinuclear metal catalysts in ring-opening polymerization of ε‑caprolactone and lactide: Cooperative and electronic effects between metal centers (2023) · cites this paper as [87]

The Polymerization of LA tables report conversion, time and observed rate constants, but do not identify complexes 51 and 52 or give TOFs of 194 and 90 h−1. Searches for those numbers and for TOF found no passage in our copy that addresses the comparison. (LLM, conf=0.72)

Experimental — accuracy not yet measured
  • After 30 min, the conversion of rac-LA polymerization at 100 °C was 97 % for complex 51 but 90 % after 60 min for complex 52.

    “After 30 min, the conversion of rac-LA polymerization at 100 °C was 97 % for complex 51 but 90 % after 60 min for complex 52.”

From Multinuclear metal catalysts in ring-opening polymerization of ε‑caprolactone and lactide: Cooperative and electronic effects between metal centers (2023) · cites this paper as [87]

The Results and discussion, ‘Polymerization of LA’ (page unavailable), reports l-lactide conversion at 100 °C after 240 minutes using TiOiPr4 with or without furPz. Searches for rac-LA, complexes 51 and 52, and the claimed 30- and 60-minute conversions found no passage addressing those results. The reported values concern different catalysts and do not establish a contradiction. (LLM, conf=0.77)

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
