Abstract

A novel platinum( ii )–cyanine complex showed a greater excellent sonodynamic therapeutic effect than photodynamic therapy in vivo . This work expands the biological applications of metal complexes from traditional photodynamic therapy to sonodynamic therapy.

  • In 4T1 breast cancer cells treated with a platinum(II) complex coupled with a cysteine framework, characteristics related to ferroptosis occur, such as lipid peroxidation accumulation, decreased GSH content, and downregulation of GPX4.

“They found that characteristics related to ferroptosis occur in 4T1 breast cancer cells, such as lipid peroxidation (LPO) accumulation, decreased GSH content, and downregulation of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) [45].”

The Introduction reports reduced GSH, lipid peroxidation accumulation, and GPX4 downregulation in 4T1 cells treated with Pt-Cy. However, it identifies the complex as having a cyanine framework, not a cysteine framework. The Ferroptosis mechanism section also specifies that the GPX4 reduction occurred under ultrasound irradiation, not with Pt-Cy alone. (LLM, conf=0.88)

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
