Abstract

Key Points: VWF synthesis in liver endothelial cells is regulated by gut microbiota through TLR2 signaling. Reduced plasma VWF levels in GF and Tlr2−/− mice cause reduced thrombus formation at the ligation-injured carotid artery.

  • The absence of microbiota was associated with reduced hepatic von Willebrand factor synthesis and reduced thrombus growth after carotid artery injury in C57BL/6 germfree mice as compared to conventionally raised littermates.

“A recent study reported that the absence of microbiota was associated with reduced hepatic von Willebrand factor (VWF) synthesis and reduced thrombus growth after carotid artery injury in C57BL/6 germfree mice as compared to conventionally raised littler mates127.”

  • Absence of microbiota alters cardiovascular homeostasis, including blood pressure regulation, myocardial repair following post-infarction cardiac repair, and thrombosis growth.

“This is indirectly supported by the fact that absence of microbiota alters cardiovascular homeostasis, such as blood pressure regulation150, myocardial repair following post-infarction cardiac repair66, or thrombosis growth127 – functions that all involve ADRs.”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
