Retracted: Gut Microbiome Signatures of Risk and Prodromal Markers of Parkinson Disease
Open accessPublished version of a preprint
Abstract
Retraction: Heinzel, S. et al., Gut Microbiome Signatures of Risk and Prodromal Markers of Parkinson Disease, Annals of Neurology 2020, 88(2), 320‐331 ( https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ana.25788 ). The above article, published online on May 22, 2020 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal Editor in Chief Clifford B. Saper, MD, PhD, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed due to an unintentional extensive misuse of the term “physical activity” instead of “physical inactivity” throughout the paper. The errors have been corrected for clarity and republished here: https://doi.org/10.1002/ana.26128 .

One study reported no significant association between the non-motor features of prodromal PD and microbiome changes.
“Some studies have found no difference in SCFA levels between individuals with RBD compared to controls [128, 129], and one study reported no significant association between the non-motor features of prodromal PD and microbiome changes [130].”

About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
