Abstract

Abstract Hydrogen, as a clean, affordable and reliable energy, is one of the important roles in clean energy conversion. In order to meet the demand of current energy, the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) has attracted considerable attention as an effective process to produce hydrogen from water. Herein, we report a simple solvothermal synthesis of molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 )/carbon nanotube (CNT) hybrids with enlarged interlayer distances ranging from 8.9 to 9.7 Å through controlling the CNTs loadings. The synergistic effects between CNTs and the layered MoS 2 result in the high electrocatalytic activity for HER. MoS 2 /CNT‐2 catalyst with the enlarged lattice spacing of 9.7 Å shows the enhanced overpotential with 210 mV to reach the current density of 10 mA cm −2 , 56 mV dec −1 Tafel slope, and good stability over 1000 cycles. This work provides a facile way to the fabrication of efficient MoS 2 ‐based catalysts via modulating the interlayer spacing of MoS 2 nanosheets.

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
