Abstract

Though much progress has been made in drug delivery systems, the design of a suitable carrier for the delivery of hydrophobic drugs is still a major challenge for researchers.

  • For hydrophobic drugs, the amount loaded strictly depends on the hydrophobic interactions occurring between the drug and the micellar core.

“Concerning hydrophobic drugs, the amount loaded strictly depends on the hydrophobic interactions occurring between the drug and the micellar core.”

From Polymeric micelles in drug delivery: An insight of the techniques for their characterization and assessment in biorelevant conditions (2021) · cites this paper as [81]

Section 3, “Engineering of the micellar core,” says drug encapsulation mainly depends on hydrophobic interactions between the drug and micellar core. It also identifies polar interactions, hydrogen bonding, and aggregation number as factors in loading, so the claim’s “strictly depends” overstates the source. (LLM, conf=0.90)

  • The length of the polymer hydrophobic chain, in addition to the type and level of substituents, is pivotal for defining the degree of encapsulation.

“The length of the polymers hydrophobic chain, in addition to the type and level of substituents, is pivotal for defining the degree of encapsulation [22,81].”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
