Doping nanoparticles using pulsed laser ablation in a liquid containing the doping agent
Open accessAbstract
While doping is crucial for numerous technological applications, its control remains difficult especially when the material is reduced down to the nanometric scale. We suggest a new way to dope nanoparticles using laser ablation in liquids.

The absence of typical atomic spectral lines of LIP expanding in a gaseous environment is due to the high density reached by the ablated matter under liquid confinement.
“The absence of the typical atomic spectral lines of the LIP expanding in a gaseous environment is due to the high density reached by the ablated matter under liquid confinement as discussed in [40,41,42].”
From Nanoparticles Engineering by Pulsed Laser Ablation in Liquids: Concepts and Applications (2020) · cites this paper as [42]
The Introduction describes a hot, dense plasma produced by laser ablation in liquid. It does not say that this density causes typical atomic spectral lines to be absent. The Experimental section’s LIBS measurements report atomic emission lines, but those measurements were made with argon gas flowing through the plasma region, not in the liquid-confined plume. About these checks
Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.
Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.
Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
