We couldn’t retrieve this paper’s full text, so its claims and self-check weren’t run. The registry and citation checks still apply.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • Post-hoc analysis of a mavoglurant phase IIa trial showed improvement in fully methylated FXS patients, but this was not replicated in the phase IIb trials.

“Results from post-hoc analyses of a mavoglurant phase IIa trial71 showed improvement in patients with FXS and full methylation but were not replicated in the two phase IIb trials.”
  • A broad range of secondary outcome measures were tested to search for a sensitive measure or subgroup of responders to inform the design of subsequent phase IIb and III trials.

“As a result, a broad range of secondary outcome measures were tested to search for a sensitive measure or subgroup of responders to inform the design of subsequent phase IIb and III trials68,71.”
  • In a small trial, AFQ056 improved inappropriate speech, stereotypic behavior, and hyperactivity in adults with fragile X syndrome who have a fully methylated full mutation allele but not in those with mosaicism.

“Intriguingly, in this small trial, improvements in inappropriate speech, stereotypic behavior, and hyperactivity and efficacy have been reported in adults with FXS who have a fully methylated FM allele but not in those with mosaicism (36).”
  • Elevated mGluR5-mediated signaling and protein synthesis in fragile X knockout mice provided the rationale for testing mGluR5 antagonists in fragile X clinical trials.

“Discovery of elevated metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 5 (mGluR5)–mediated signaling and protein synthesis in fragile X knockout mice (53–56) provided the rationale for testing mGluR5 antagonists in ongoing fragile X clinical trials.”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
