Abstract

A search for an annual variation of a daily sidereal modulation of the frequency difference between colocated $^{129}\mathrm{X}\mathrm{e}$ and $^{3}\mathrm{H}\mathrm{e}$ Zeeman masers sets a stringent limit on boost-dependent Lorentz and $CPT$ violation involving the neutron, consistent with no effect at the level of 150 nHz. In the framework of the general standard-model extension, the present result provides the first clean test for the fermion sector of the symmetry of spacetime under boost transformations at a level of ${10}^{\ensuremath{-}27}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}$.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • A continuation of the 3He/129Xe experiment has recently been able to directly constrain boost violation at the level of 10−27 GeV.

“A continuation of this experiment has recently been able to directly constrain boost violation at the level of 10−27 GeV [71] (sidereal variations look at rotation invariance).”

Self-check

Percentages, sums and reported differences re-computed from the paper’s own numbers.

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
