Abstract

Abstract In this study, a versatile poly(methyl methacrylate)–poly(ϵ‐caprolactone) covalently crosslinked polymer co‐network (PMMA–PCL CPN) tethering all polymeric chains between netpoints is designed and prepared to develop a novel type of adjustable multiple‐shape memory polymers. The CPN is demonstrated to produce a broadening of glass transition and memorize up to four different shapes based on a single thermal transition for the first time, as the whole energy stored in the broad transition can be distributed into several parts for multi‐step shape fixation and recovery in one‐shape memory cycle. Furthermore, the versatile multiple‐shape memory effects from dual to quadruple can be adjusted simply by shifting the corresponding deformation temperatures on demands, without variation of material chemistry.

Claims other papers make about this one

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • The temperature-memory effect approach has been largely employed to achieve multiple-way SMPs with a broad glass transition or a broad melting transition as the switching transition.

“Such an approach has been largely employed to achieve multiple-way SMPs with a broad glass transition [82-92] and a broad melting transition [93-95] as the switching transition.”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
