Abstract

0.09-1.04). Self-help based interventions could be beneficial in treating depression, however vigilance needs to be applied when selecting from the range of materials available. Replication of this study with a larger sample is required.

Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • A power analysis indicated that a minimum of 52 participants per intervention module was required to achieve 80% power (α=0.05) for a repeated-measures ANOVA within-between interaction with an effect size of 0.4.

“An effect size of 0.4 was selected based on previous digital intervention studies that reported moderate to large effects [27,28]. To achieve 80% power (α=0.05), which is a commonly accepted threshold for behavioral intervention research, a minimum of 52 participants per intervention module was required.”

From Schema-Informed Digital Mental Health Intervention for Maladaptive Cognitive-Emotional Patterns: Randomized Controlled Trial (2025) · cites this paper as [27]

The Method > Power calculations passage supports 80% power, α = 0.05, and a 0.4 effect size, but specifies 100 participants per group—not 52. The Method > Statistical analyses passage describes linear mixed models rather than a repeated-measures ANOVA within-between interaction. (LLM, conf=0.90)

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
