Each is checked against this paper’s own text: does it say what the citing paper says it does?

  • The fate of encapsulated mRNA is not clear; as extracellular vesicles surround the lipid nanoparticle, synthetic mRNA may be isolated and destroyed by lysosomal degradation enzymes.

“Yet, the fate of encapsulated mRNA is not clear. As extracellular vesicles surround the lipid nanoparticle, synthetic mRNA may be isolated and destroyed by lysosomal degradation enzymes [43].”

From Relative risk reduction: Misinformative measure in clinical trials and COVID-19 vaccine efficacy (2022) · cites this paper as [43]

Section 6, “Intracellular trafficking” (page unavailable), says endocytic vesicles can carry nanoparticles to lysosomes, where their contents encounter degradation enzymes; nanoparticles that escape first may avoid degradation. It does not address encapsulated synthetic mRNA specifically or say that extracellular vesicles surround lipid nanoparticles. (LLM, conf=0.86)

  • Nanoparticles that undergo clathrin-mediated endocytosis can end up in endosomes, which mature to endolysosomes and undergo degradation.

“The NPs that undergo clathrin-mediated endocytosis can end up in endosomes, which mature to endolysosomes and undergo degradation.”

From The Ocular Gene Delivery Landscape (2021) · cites this paper as [30]

  • Caveolin-mediated endocytosis encapsulates nanoparticles in caveolae vesicles that enter early endosomes or endoplasmic reticulum and escape degradation.

“However, caveolin-mediated endocytosis encapsulates the NPs in caveolae vesicles that enter early endosomes or endoplasmic reticulum and escape degradation [30].”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
