Abstract

ISUOG) is a scientific organization that encourages sound clinical practice, teaching and research for diagnostic imaging in women's healthcare. The ISUOG Clinical Standards Committee (CSC) has a remit to develop Practice Guidelines and Consensus Statements as educational recommendations that provide healthcare practitioners with a consensus-based approach for diagnostic imaging. They are intended to reflect what is considered by ISUOG to be the best practices at the time at which they were issued.Although ISUOG has made every effort to ensure that guidelines are accurate when issued, neither the Society nor any of its employees or members accepts any liability for the consequences of any inaccurate or misleading data, opinions or statements issued by the CSC.They are not intended to establish a legal standard of care because interpretation of the evidence that underpins the guidelines may be influenced by individual circumstances and available resources.Approved guidelines can be distributed freely with the permission of

  • The timing of the second trimester scan is standardized to 18 + 0 to 23 + 6 weeks of gestation.

“The timing of the second trimester scan is standardized to 18 + 0 to 23 + 6 weeks of gestation”

From Evolving the Era of 5D Ultrasound? A Systematic Literature Review on the Applications for Artificial Intelligence Ultrasound Imaging in Obstetrics and Gynecology (2023) · cites this paper as [139]

In “When should the mid-trimester fetal ultrasound scan be performed?”, the guideline says a routine scan is often performed between 18 and 22 weeks. This supports the general timing but not the claimed standardized window ending at 23 + 6 weeks. (LLM, conf=0.86)

  • Fetal ultrasound assessment of the chest region, especially with the four-chamber view, is essential because it contains the heart and lung, which are critical components in neonatal prognosis.

“Fetal ultrasound assessment of the chest region, especially with the four-chamber view (4CV), is essential because it contains the heart and lung, which are critical components in neonatal prognosis [9].”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
