Abstract

We report acute antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 in 285 patients with COVID-19. Within 19 days after symptom onset, 100% of patients tested positive for antiviral immunoglobulin-G (IgG). Seroconversion for IgG and IgM occurred simultaneously or sequentially. Both IgG and IgM titers plateaued within 6 days after seroconversion. Serological testing may be helpful for the diagnosis of suspected patients with negative RT-PCR results and for the identification of asymptomatic infections.

  • The vast majority of SARS-CoV-2 infected individuals seroconvert within 5-15 days post-symptom onset, with about 90% seroconversion by day 10.

“The vast majority of SARS-CoV-2 infected individuals seroconvert within 5–15 days PSO, with ∼90% seroconversion by day 10 PSO (Long et al., 2020; Rydyznski Moderbacher et al., 2020; Premkumar et al., 2020; Ripperger et al., 2020; Suthar et al., 2020).”

About these checks

Registry, retraction, Cites and statistics results are computed, not judged, with one exception: a printed reference that no index lists is read once by a model before it counts as a citation error. Claims are extracted by a model and kept only when their quote appears verbatim in the text; each cited source is then checked, with a model’s help, for whether it says what the claim relies on. Those verdicts can be wrong — read the claim’s quote and the cited source before relying on one.

Statistics and arithmetic are recomputed, not judged.

Confidence bands are shown only for fields calibrated on our annotated test set. None is calibrated yet, so no band is shown.
